Fish 'N Fins hosts Montserrat's first ever STEAM Festival
Fish 'N Fins will be hosting Montserrat's first ever STEAM (Science. Technology. Engineering. Art. Mathematics) Festival on May 3rd to the 5th. It will be a weekend filled with loads of fun activities and interactive exhibits.
Exhibits will be open all day, everyday throughout the entire STEAM Festival. Fish 'N Fins Robotics team of primary schoolers will also debut their robot, 'The Moses', designed and programmed to remove debris, post hurricane. Exhibitors are expected to include the Government Information Services, , WAITT Institute/Blue Halo, Fisheries/MATHE, Divers and schools. Activities, games and displays will be separated into outdoor and indoor sections over the weekender.
The first day of the STEAM festival will be an fun talk show based on the theme, sea debris, where a child host will put a farmer, a decision maker and a fisher in the hot seat. The second day of the festival will be a movie night by the ocean, where members of the public are welcome to come and watch a documentary entitled "A Plastic Ocean", after which an open mic discussion will be had to discuss the movie. To end off this exciting weekend, a beach fun day and beach clean up will be held at Little Bay where everyone is welcome to swim, snorkel, kayak, interact with all the exhibits that will be showcased and much much more.
