FISH ‘N FINS INTRODUCES - 'SCHOOLS TO THE SEA'

FISH ‘N FINS - 'Schools to the Sea' is bringing the classrooms outdoors and making learning an exciting ‘edventure.’ Our mission is to inspire a generation of ocean leaders in Caribbean.

Schools to the Seas works with schools and other organizations to engage our next generation in ocean-based programs; designed to increase academic success and marine awareness from preschool to college. Students are exposed to a variety of exciting activities ranging from swim & snorkelling lessons, to ocean conservation workshops and ocean themed art and craft fun, and games.

On our seaside educational field trips, students will practice environmental stewardship through coastal cleanup and learn how to better sustain the well-being of our ocean backyard. Students will also be challenged to identify solutions and discover ways to become greener and promote sustainability – both locally and globally.

Fish 'N Fins Schools to the Seas program seeks community and international partners to support local schools in participating in this program. Various packages are available from one off 'edventure' days to 4 week programs; prices start at little as $500 EC. Whether an annual or one-time partnership, you can bring classrooms outdoors and enhance local education on Montserrat.

Tools for 2020: We want to provide our students with reusable water bottles as an eco friendly way to hydrate during outdoor activities. Help fund a supply of sturdy water bottles and your company logo could be featured on these tangible tools of change for students to take anywhere they go. By offering this to our students we practice what we teach and are able to solidify our message of sustainability. We aim to supply reusable water bottles to all participants and volunteers by 2020. A minimum donation of $2700 EC is required to feature your logo.

Educational Material Support: A variety of items support our field trips. Contribute towards key tools such as snorkel sets, swim goggles, ocean books, ocean documentaries, HD underwater camera, craft items etc; and ensure a complete and invaluable experience for our students.
